TeI demands relief at par with Kashmiri migrants | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, Mar 18: Militancy affected people of Udhampur protested at DC Office Udhampur under the banner of Tehreek-E-Insaaf in view of their long pending demands,here today. Addressing the protestors, President of Tehreek-e-Insaaf ,Mohd Aslam Kohli, said that the condition of 8 lakhs militancy affected people of Jammu including 12000 migrant families are at the edge of starvation. The unhygienic environment in the camps of Jammu migrants is extremely deplorable. He also said that the Government has not paid any heed towards militancy affected people of Jammu province. No special budgetary provisions were made for our people for fulfilling their genuine needs of housing, employment & improving their living conditions. Addressing the protestors, Vice President, Sher Singh said that Government has back-stabbed our people by not implementing the directions of Supreme Court. He further said that we will join the Assembly-Gherao protest organised by the organization at Jammu on 21st of March and appeal the affected people to show their strength. Later on, a delegation of Tehreek-e-Insaaaf met the DC Udhampur and submitted their demands and problems of militancy affected people of Udhampur District. Large no. of people including women participated in the protest against State Government which started at Mini Stadium and culminated at DC Office, Udhampur.
