| Pawan Gupta expressed grief over Kossar accident | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, March 18: BJP State Vice-President Pawan Gupta today expressed shock over the accident which occurred at Kossar near Udhampur a few days ago.
While describing the accident as most unfortunate, Pawan Gupta said that for the past few months, the state witnessed lot of road accidents in which hundreds of innocent people lost their precious lives but the State government has failed to formulate any policy so as to stop these tragic accidents.
While coming down heavily on the State government which announced Rs 25,000/- to the families of those who lost their lives & Rs 10,000/- to the seriously injured, Gupta said that by announcing such meager compensation to the victims, the government has hurt their sentiments of the people.
Gupta demanded Rs 5 lakhs each be given to the families who lost any of their family member in the road accident and Rs 3 lakhs be given to the seriously injured as compensation.
