Safai Karamchari Union threatened to go on strike

KATHUA, March 18: The Safai Karamchari Union Kathu threatened to go on indefinite strike in favour of their long pending genuine demand to fill the 37 vacant posts in the municipal council Kathua.
This was said by the president of Safai KaramchariUnion Sawan Cheeda in a press conference. While addressing the conference he said that Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand has given various assurances to fill the vacant posts. He said that even in February, the director local body had directed DC Kathua to fill the vacant posts lying with the council.
He said in this regard the union approached DC Kathua several times but DC Kathua refused to do so and demanded the government’s direction to full fill these vacant posts.
