Armed Police organizes Civic Action Programme at Old Age Home | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, MARCH 18- The IRP 15th Bn Jammu todoay organized a Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Home for Aged and Infirm, Ambphalla, Jammu. On this occasion, Inspector General of Police, IRP, Mr. Ravinder Kotwal was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kotwal said that this programme was organized with the special efforts of Commandant IRP 15th Bn. Mr. Vijay Kumar for distributing the kits comprises of garments among the infirm persons. Mr. Kotwal also appreciated the Secretary, Old Age Home, Mr. Vijay Kumar Bhagotra for providing every help in streamlining the system of the Home. He further said Mr. Bhagotra is rendering his duties for the betterment of needy and poor persons since his retirement from the government service. Later, Commandant/ SSP IRP, Jammu, Mr. Vijay Kumar also spoke on the occasion and added that the police is not only for maintaining the law and order scenario but also a part of the society. He disclosed that garments worth Rs. 80,000 were distributed among the old age infirm persons and thanked the Secretary of the Old Age Home for giving the opportunity in providing the help to the inmates. He added that this is the first CAP organized in the Home in collaboration with Armed Police. On the occasion, the inmates of the Home presented a cultural programme. |
