| Adequate security arrangements for pachyat polls: DGP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Mar 18 : The Director General Police, Kuldeep Khoda, Friday said adequate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure free and fair panchayat polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We have made the preparations for the (panchayat) polls. The usual drill, that we have to conduct keeping in view the inputs and the situation, will be done and we are mobilising our forces,” he said while speaking to reporters after a passing out parade of 917 recruits, who graduated as constables in different wings of the state police from Police Training Centre Manigam, Ganderbal.
He said the necessary measures like area security and domination would be carried out in the run up to the polls beginning next month.
He said the core group on security had met yesterday discussing every aspect of the situation.
