| NC leader for construction of Nowshera degree college building | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, March 18: Senior National conference leader and MLA Radhay Sham Sharma met Minister for Higher Education Abdul Malik and stressed upon him to issue directions for starting construction of building for Govt Degree College, Nowshera without any further delay.
Minister Higher Education assured Sharma for early starting of construction work for Govt Degree College at Nowshera.
Sharma while participating in debates on the grants of Housing & Urban Development Department today in the Assembly Session raised various issues for the development of Nowshera Constituency which included inclusion of Nowshera Town under UIDSSMT Scheme; enhancement of Distt Plan Funds from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 10 lacs at least; one more vehicle to be sanctioned for garbage collection each for Municipal Committees of Nowshera and Sunder Bani; Nowshera and Sunder Bani; Establishment of Housing Colonies and Defence Colonies for serving and retired Defence Personnels; establishment of solid waste management projects in both the towns of Nowshera and Sunderbani.
Other demands included Development of Bus Stand of Nowshera and Sunder Bani on modern lines; construction of shopping complexes and to develop parking places in both the towns of Nowshera and Sunder Bani; Enhancement of funds under UEED for the development of both the towns of Nowshera and Sunder Bani ; providing of sufficient funds under IHDSP Scheme meant for providing of construct concrete two rooms sets for the poor Urban B.P.L families for both the towns of Nowshera and Sunder Bani and extension of boundaries/ limits of the Municipal Committees of Nowshera and Sunder Bani.
