| PCC hails waving of power tariff for Kargil people | | |

PCC has welcomed the decision of the state government to waive off power tariff to the displaced people during Kargil conflict.
In a statement PCC spokesperson Ravinder Sharma welcomed the announcement of power minister Rigzin Zora on the instructions of the chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Sharma said, that displaced people of border area of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh had been demanding waiving off power tariff the period they remained displaced from their houses. Sharma said it was justified demand of the border people who had become migrants from their houses during Kargil conflict between India and Pakistan. The step is highly appreciated being in the interest of large number of people of the state.
