Cabinet approves creation of 213 posts, separate NSS Cell | Nod to four bills | | Jammu, March 18- The Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah accorded approval to creation of 213 posts in the newly created districts in of Rural Development, Transport (SMG) and Health and Medical Education departments. The cabinet also gave nod to the two amendment bills and two new bills to be tabled during the current session. The Cabinet also approved establishment of a separate National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell in the department of Higher Education to oversee the functioning of the scheme in the State.The bills which were approved by the cabinet today included Panchayati Raj amendment bill, amendment in Motor Vehicle Act of the state,J&K Property tax bill, the new bill for prohibition of ragging and PSC gurantee bill.
In another decision, the Cabinet sanctioned ex-gratia relief in favour of 16 families of district Kishtwar, Poonch, Jammu, Kathua and Udhampur who had suffered losses to their moveable property viz merchandize and household items in 2008 in the aftermath of Shri Amarnath Ji land agitation. The cabinet also accorded sanction to re-appointment of Mushtaq Ahmed Peer as Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination for a period of one year from March 17, 2011. It also approved regularization of left out migrant substitute’s appointment against migrant vacancies for various government departments. The Cabinet also gave its nod to some Bills to be brought in the ongoing session of State Legislature. |
