NSUI to revamp organizational structure across J&K | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 19: National Student’s Union of India (NSUI) has decided to revamp the organizational structure across the state. Addressing a press conference, State President Dr. Abdul Rashid Choudhary said that an extensive review, revamp, revival of the organization is on cards and NSUI high command has given green signal for the same. He announced for calling of state executive meeting on March 23 and 24, 2011 while adding that all the state office bearers, district office bearers, university office bearers and some special invitees will participate in this two days event. He added that all the concerned office bearers of various levels can get in touch with state office to get the meeting identity cards and training kits before March 23. Choudhary said that the third state executive would be addressed by national leaders of NSUI and would discuss also some common grievances of the people and would seek their immediate redressed. Dr. Choudhary added that NSUI would play a very active role in increasing political participation in Panchayat Polls. He appealed to youth and student community to vote for energetic, educated and effective local leaders in Panchayat polls as strengthening of Panchayat had good role to play in fighting corruption and maladministration. Also, he said that NSUI would field some candidate during the forthcoming municipal corporation elections in the state. Other prominent NSUI leaders present in the press conference include Aijaz Mehar, Arjun S Pathania, Charanjeet Singh Cheeku, Uday Chib, Fairoz Khan, Sarbjit Singh, Abhimanyu Jamwal, Jatin Chib, Azhar Usman Khan, Chetan Misri, Paramjit Singh and Varun Dev Sing and others.. Meanwhile, NSUI District Ramban unit President, Rashid Malik expressed his shock and anger for not including Batote in list of Degree College allotted areas. It is pertinent to mention here that 25 Degree Colleges have been announced for various areas of the state, including Thatri which have just a few thousand populations.
