| Security stepped up on LoC in Poonch, Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 19: Security was further stepped up on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch and Rajouri sectors amid reports that Pak-based militants could make infiltration bids in the days to come.
"Security is further enhanced on the LoC and army troops are maintaining round-the-clock vigil to foil any infiltration bid by militants," official sources said.
Sources said multiple ambushes had been laid in areas close to the LoC and border residents had been asked to contact police, or security forces in case they observed suspicious movement in the villages.Troops were also deployed in the snow-covered areas, the sources added. |
