| RRETC organizes training camp at R S Pura | | |

JAMMU, Mar 19: Regional Rural Extension Training Centre (RRETC) R. S. Pura today organized training camp on ‘Planning and Management of Indira Awaas Yojna’ at block headquarters.
In his inaugural address to the participants the Principal Regional Rural Extension Training Centre; B. K. Pandita said that housing is the basic requirement of all human beings. Provision of housing for all the houseless rural poor has become a major challenge and is thus given priority by the authorities for living dignified life, adequate housing with the minimum basic requirements which is essential.
Adequate awareness of this flagship schemes shall help in achieving the ‘National Goal’ of providing housing facility and house sites for better living of rural houseless/ shelter less masses, he further said that there is need of imparting awareness of the scheme particularly at the grass-root level for better results and for exclusion of ineligible households under the programme.
Guest faculty R. K. Koul, B. L. Koul, AEE besides the Principal delivered the lectures on different topics of the Training Programme like, ‘Planning and Management of IAY’ ‘National Housing and Habitat Policy’, ‘Working Group Recommendations on Housing’, ‘Low Cost Technology’, ‘INDIRAMA’ and latest ‘IAY Guidelines’. The Block Development Officer, Block Purmandal M. L. Verma also addressed the participants of the Training Programme and thanked the organizers for holding such trainings at Block Level itself. A large number 103 participants attended the training camp.
