Jagriti Mandal holds meeting, discusses problems of OBCs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 21: A meeting of Jagriti Mandal was held under the chairmanship of Madan Lal Chalotra. The office bearers of the Manch attended the meeting wherein various problems of the backward communities were discussed. It was strongly and unanimously decided that why the Govt is appointing Non-OBC people and other upper castes in the state backward commission. This is against the SRO-126 of 1994 and SRO-208 of 1999 which maintain that only the OBC people should be part of the commission. The other caste people have no interest in OBCs’ development. They are gaining entry from back Door for their own and personal benefits, it should be checked. The Manch president warned the Govt that in future no non OBC member should be included in the commission. It was also demanded that the chairman post should be filled by appointing an OBC person and not from other caste. That is why we are deprived from the basic benefits given by the Govt time to time.
