| Compensate farmers for crop loss due to hail storm: Babu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Mar 21:
Former Minister Babu Singh today urged the coalition government to compensate the major loss of wheat crop due to hail storm of highest intensity in the state.
Addressing the farmers under the banner of Kissan Movement at Nagri, Babu Singh said that the farming community is already suffering from many problems and reached at stage of complete extinction.
He criticized the small and chemical based agriculture practice which has been proved as major source of poisonous food, uneconomic, emission of dangerous green house gases, which added to activate the global warming and resulting as complete devastation of the agriculture as well entire human society.
He also asserted that the government should regularize the agriculture technocrats immediately who are still on Fast unto Death in favour of their regularization demand. In the meeting the president of Kisaan Movement Hurmat Singh appealed the government to grant compensation for drought hit areas.
