| Bill to amend J&K Tourist Trade Act introduced in L.A | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, MARCH 22- Minister for Tourism, Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora today introduced a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Registration of Tourist Trade Act, 1978 (L.A. Bill No. 3 of 2011).
The Bill is aimed at to safeguard the interests of the tourists by stopping mal practices such as overcharging and cheating. The amendment Bill suggests to enhance the fine as well as extent of imprisonment on violators of the law.
