JAMMU, March 22: Athletes from Bhalwal and R S Pura blocks dominated the inter-block athletics meet of Jammu district, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) under Centrally sponsored scheme of PYKKA here today.
Both these blocks clinched three gold medals each in seven different field and track events of under-16 boys and girls. In all, eight blocks falling under Jammu district are taking part in this athletics meet.
Earlier, the competitions were declared open by Deputy Director DYSS, S S Bali in the presence of host of other senior officers of the department.

Discuss Throw: Jagmeet Kour, R S Pura, Ist; Arti Devi, Bhalwal, 2nd and Taranjeet Kour, RS Pura, 3rd. Long Jump: Jasvinder Kour, R S Pura, Ist; Preeti Sharma, Bhalwal, 2nd and Kanchan Devi, Bhalwal, 3rd.
BOYS: Shot Put: Ajay Kumar, R S Pura, Ist; Ram Parshad, Marh, 2nd and Suraj Parkash, Marh, 3rd. Discuss Throw: Rahul Kumar, R S Pura, Ist; Himmat Kumar, Bhalwal, 2nd and Gurpreet Singh, R S Pura, 3rd.
