| Powergrid honoured with Regional Rajbasha award | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , Mar 22: The Powergrid Powergrid, Regional Office Jammu been conferred first prize by the Official Languages Department Ministry of Home, Government of India in “C” Region of Enterprise category for the year 2009-10 for outstanding Implementation of official language policy and on couraging working in official language. The award consisted of a shield and a certificate. The award was conferred in the auditorium of Himachal Pradesh University, Summer Hill, Shimla. The award was handed over by Governor of Himachal Pradesh Urmila Singh. The award was received by S. C. Singh, Executive Director, Stanley Mathews Chief Manager (HR) and Subash Sharma, Hindi Officer on behalf of POWERGRID, Northern Region-II.
It is worthwhile to mention here that PG, Jammu has been bagging Regional Rajbasha Award continuously for the last five years. In addition to this for implementation of official languages and contributing in a major may for spreading usage of Hindi in its working, POWERGRID, Northern Region-II, Jammu has been bagging certificates regularly each year from Nagar Rajbasha implementation Committee.
