| JMC demolishes rolling shutters at Gandhi Nagar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , March 22
The enforcement staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation under the chairmanship of S.C Sawhney Commissioner led by Chief Enforcement Officer, Satish Khajuria along with police force demolished the iron rolling shutter at Gandhi Nagar which was fixed during holidays in violation of the status quo order of the J&K Special Tribunal.
They also removed the iron rolling shutter at Lower Roop Nagar thereby foiled attempt to put the buildings for commercial use.
Besides this, the team also conducted a drive and removed the hoardings, sign boards, kiosks, banners etc from the public places / poles from the Gandhi Nagar area which were installed / displayed by various business establishments, institutions, agencies, firms without permission. During the drive, the team seized two truck loads of such material and impounded it to the Municipal Yard at Town Hall, Jammu. All the firms / agencies are hereby asked to remove the hoardings / sign boards / banners from the public places / poles to avoid penal action under law.
