1 killed, infant among 45 hurt in separate road mishaps | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Mar 22 : A man from Bihar was killed and 45 others, including a 40-day old child, were injured in different road accidents in the Kashmir valley, official sources said here today. They said a vehicle hit and critically wounded a worker Mehboob-ul-Hussain, son of Mukhtar Ahmad, a resident of Ariya, Bihar, at Ganeshnar in south Kashmir district of Pulwama. He was immediately rushed to Sub-District hospital, Pampore, where doctors declared him brought dead. They said 36 passengers were wounded when a bus in which they were travelling turned turtle at Buchroo in the south Kashmir district of Kulgam. The injured were immediately rushed to District Hospital from where seven critically wounded were referred to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) here. Two people identified as Mohammad Ashraf Bhat and a 40-day-old child, were hit and injured by a vehicle at main market Uri. The injured were later admitted to hospital, they said. Sources said five passengers were injured when two vehicles collided at Kanispora in Baramulla. A motorcyclist hit and injured one Abdul Qayoum Khan at Achabal while a motorcyclist Manzoor Ahmad Bhat was wounded when a vehicle hit him at Palpora, Kralgund, in Kupwara. The injured were hospitalised.
