| Review meeting of PMEGP held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , March 22
A state level monitoring committee meeting to review the implementation of Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in the state was held today in Hotel Fortune Inn Riviera under the chairmanship of Umang Nrula Commissioner/ Secretary, Industries & Commerce.
The over all performance of implementing agencies in the state like the District Industries Centre, KVIC and KVIB against the physical and financial targets was reviewed besides, impediment in implementing of PMEGP of eligible beneficiaries whose applications are cleared by District level Task Force Committee in District so thatmMicro industrial units under various schemes are established and employment opportunities as envisaged in project are generated.
The Commissioner/ Secretary I&C also advised Banks to monitor the achievements by the financing Bank Branches in each district. He also laid stress that security which was resolved unanimously by the participating Bankers that same to be implemented in letter and spirit. He emphasized upon the Bankers to utilize the available Margin Money funds by the end of this financial year positively and appreciated the performance of KVIB for achieving more than 200% targets in the current financial year.
Others who also participated in the meeting includes S. Ravinder Singh Secretary/ CEO KVIB, S.B.S Dua Director Industries & Commerce Jammu, Asst. Director State KVIC,CGM NABARD, DGM PNB, DGM SBI, Dy Director Planning RDD Jammu, Vice President J&K Bank, Chief Manager LB Jammu and AGM SIDBI.
