| Walkout over Jammu migrants | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, March 22: BJP, Panthers Party and JSM member today staged walkout from the Assembly after they raised the issue of non availability of ration for Jammu migrants vehemently in the House.
The issue was first raised by JSM MLA Ashwani Kumar during the zero hour who expressed serious concern over what he said government apathy with Jammu migrants on basic even facilities. "Kashmir migrants are being given flats and ration is not available for migrants from Jammu...", JSM MLA shouted. He was joined in same chorus by Jugal Kishore of Jammu and Balwant Singh Mankotia of PP. They created din for some time even s Speaker tried to clam them down.
Earlier, BJP leader Prof Chaman Lal raised the issue of election commission and finance commission related to Panchayat polls saying government only indulged in rhetorics and had sought adjournment motion for discussion which Speaker had declined. Prof Gupta alleged whatever government was doing amounted to subversion of democracy . Harsh Dev Singh of PP also crticitised the government for what he termed as muzzling opposition voice in the name of Model code of conduct alleging the government was making transfers, releasing funds but in the name of MCC curbing opposition expressions.
