| Rather introduces Bill to provide better Public Services | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, MAR 23- Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, HakAbdul Rahim Rather on behalf of Chief Minister, today introduced A Bill to provide for the delivery of public services to the people of the State within the specified time limit and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto (L.A. Bill No. 6 of 2011) in the Legislative Assembly today.
Briefing about the objectives of the Bill, the Minister said the State Government has considered it necessary that the people of the State be delivered public services within the stipulated time limit and in order to achieve the said objective, the Bill has been introduced in the House. He said the Bill envisages a comprehensive mechanism including notification of designated officers and appellate authorities, also specifying the timeframe, for delivery of public services to the people of the state.
