| Three days Kissan Mela organized by SKUAST | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 23: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST) of Jammu has organized three days’ Kissan Mela at Main Campus, Chatha from 23rd to 25th March, 2011.
M.I. Khandey, IAS, Principal Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production Department, J&K Govt., inaugurated the Mega Kissan Mela in the presence of Vice Chancellors, SKUAST-J and SKUAST-K, Dr. B. Mishra and Dr. Tej Partap.
Famous National Institutes like Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi; Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izzatnagar, Bareily; National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal; Project Directorate of Poultry, Hyderabad; Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering Bhopal; National Bureau of Agriculture Genetic Resource, Karnal; Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering & Technology, Ludhiana; Directorate of Rice Research Hyderabad; Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture, Srinagar and Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu are the centres of attraction depicting various technologies, products beneficial to farmers.
