| “Paigaam-e-Aman” mushaira enthralls Basantgarh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Basantgarh (Udhampur) March 23: – A novel symbol of universal peace and brotherhood prevailing in entire Dudu Basantgarh Sub Division was reflected today in “Paigaam-e-Aman” Mushaira-cum-Cultural Programme organized at Basantgarh, headquarters of Dudu Basantgarh Sub Division which is a clear reflection of innovative and thought provoking concepts coined by Sub Divisional Magistrate Dudu Basantgarh Shri Amit Sharma who had roped in Department of Information along with Sub Divisional Administration for the purpose.
A special feature of this Mushaira was that special artists and poets belonging to far off places and even Udhampur and adjoining tehsils and districts were shortlisted to offer their sher-o-shairi and ghazals in the enchanting programme.
Apart from locals, people from adjoining areas started flocking into Basantgarh since yesterday so that they should not miss their date with this maiden and historical event taking place there reflecting strong message of International Peace and brotherhood through “Paigaam-e-Aman” Mushaira, especially in the background of prevailing International scenarios whether manmade like unrest in Libya, Egypt, Iraq and Afghanistan or natural catastrophes like Tsunamis, earthquakes, floods in Japan, Australia and USA.
It may be recalled many similar kinds of events reflecting such ideology and spirit of common brotherhood prevailing in Dudu Basantgarh were organized under initiative of SDM Amit Sharma in past one year such as International Peace n Green Rally, Iftar and Janamashtmi Joint parties, Ramlila with role playing by both communities.
When contacted SDM Dudu Basantgarh Amit Sharma said “We wanted to organize this kind of programme since long so as to reflect the kind of peace and progressive approach exhibited by public of Dudu Basantgarh who have a proven a point to all anti social elements and extremists that they are deadly against ant kind of violence or divisive approach to achieve ant mottos and especially the Basantgarh massacre has brought all communities much closer and sensitive towards the common cause of progressive development of the Sub Division”.
As reflected in the theme or nomenclature, the basic aim of the Mushaira was to spread the spirit of communal brotherhood, peace and tranquillity which has been prevailing in Dudu Basantgarh under the administration of SDM Amit Sharma to other Sub Divisions and district of the state.
