| NMC urges govt to release DA instalment to employees | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , March 23: Hailing the decision of the Union Cabinet in releasing the pending installment of 6% DA due from January last in favour of its employees and pensioners, President of the National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri has urged upon the State Chief Minister to release the same to the State Government employees and pensioners at the earliest in view of sharp increase of the prices of essential commodities and inflation.
He pointed out that since there is already budget provision made by the Finance Minister for year 2011-12, there should not be any hitch for the State Government. The delayed release of DA not only puts burden on the government exchequer to liquidate the arrears but also increase the difficulties of employees and pensioners, he added.
He also impressed for early payment of pending 6th Pay Commission arrears to State Government employees and pensioners.
