Jammu , March 23:- The Public Health Engineering (PHE) employees Joint Action Committee today demanded regularization of daily wagers who have raised five years of service. Addressing a joint press conference, Surinder Sawhney, Balwant Singh and Moulvi Munner Ahmed, they appealed for extending benefit of essential service and grant of pending extra pay for 1 ½ days. They also demanded enhancement of the daily wagers workers rates Rs 500, 980, 1500, 1800 to be brought on 125 per day (Rs 3750/-) per month, implementation of SRO 149 of 1973 in letter and spirit, conduct D.P.C without any further delay.
They also appealed to stop pick and choose transfer policy.
