| Charas smuggler's bail rejected | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 23:A charas smuggler's bail application was today rejected by 2nd additional sessions judge, Jammu, Vinod Chatterji Koul.
According to the police report, Chetan Sharma of Rehari, Vishav Pratap and Ishant Koul were arrested by police at Nagrota on March 8 last following the recovery of one kilogram of charas from their possession.
The car was being driven by Rohit Sharma of Rajouri. Rejecting Chetan's bail application, the court observed that as per NDPS Act, the quantity of seized charas fell within the commercial quantity.
He said keeping in view the provision of the Act, the applicant was not entitled to bail and dismissed the bail application.
