| Harshdev seeks tabling of SFC report | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 26: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) leader Harshdev Singh called for tabling report of State Finance Commission in the House.
He said that commission has been constituted after the Bill was passed by the Assembly to look into the issue of imbalances in the fund allotment issue and thus the House is the most appropriate forum to be informed about its findings.
CPI (M) Legislator today urged the government to honor its announcement about increasing honorarium of Numbardars and Chowkidars, which he said are basic institutions of local governance in rural areas. He said these functionaries have worked in trying circumstances during last twenty years. Despite Revenue Minister’s announcement about hiking their remuneration several times both within and outside the House no practical steps were taken so far by the government, he said.
