| No shortage of medicines, equipment in Ramnagar: Sham | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 24: Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma today informed the Legislative Assembly that 73 health institutions of various categories are functional in the Ramnagar constituency, providing healthcare services to the people.
These include one Community Health Centre (Sub- district Hospital), ten Primary Health Centres, two Allopathic Dispensaries, thirty five Sub- Centres, Nine Medical Aid Centres and Sixteen ISM Dispensaries (including one under internal arrangement). Replying to a Calling Attentions Notice of Harshdev Singh, Minister apprised that 52 posts of doctors are sanctioned, out of which 36 are in position. Similarly against 162 sanctioned posts of para-medicos, 140 are in place.
Under ISM Sector, against the sanctioned strength of 36 posts, 30 have been filled up, he said. In addition, 2 MBBS doctors, 9 ISM doctors and 37 para-medicos have been engaged on contractual basis under NRHM Scheme for various health institutions of the constituency. Minster said that adequate quantity of equipments and medicines have been made available to all the health institutions in Ramnagar constituency.
