MANUU’s role in promoting Urdu language appreciated | | | Early Times Report HYDERABAD, Mar 24: Thee mandate of Language Universities is to promote and develop specified language and impart education and training through medium of those languages to meet requirement of those language speaking people. Prof. V. S. Prasad, former Director, NAAC and former V.C. B.R. Ambedkar Open University & IGNOU expressed these views today while delivering the keynote address at the inaugural session of the National Conference at Maulana Azad National Urdu University. Prof. Mohammad Miyan, V.C. MANUU, Presided over the inaugural session of 3-day conference on “Access & Equity through ODL in Higher Education: Role of Indian Language Universities”. Conference is being jointly organized by Directorate of Distance Education, MANUU & Distance Education Council (New Delhil). Prof. A.M. Pathan, V.C. Central University of Karnataka, Gulbarga was the Chief Guest. Prof. Uttam Rao B. Bhoite, Former V.C., Maharashtra Open University, Nasik, was the Guest of Honour. Continuing his keynote address, Prof. Prasad said that governments in all developing countries want three outcomes from their higher education system.
