All patriots need to unitedly defeat divisive forces in J&K: Andrabi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU Mar 24: " The martyrs who have laid down their lives for our motherland need to be saluted. We can only do this by contributing in nation building and character making in every sphere of life. Their ultimate sacrifices demand our small sacrifices and we should not shun our responsiblilities towards our nation," said Dr Darakhshan Andrabi in her address at a public meeting held here today. Organised by Jammu Kashmir Youth Wing for paying tributes to the martyrs Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Sukhdev and Shaheed Rajguru, Dr Darakhshan said that Bhagat Singh is not the name of a person, it is the name of the spirit of India which never dies. Earlier Dr Darakhshan Andrabi led the public initiative of lighting candles signifying the light of sacrifices of these great heroes which leads us to protect and honour our great nation and its interests. In her address Dr Andrabi said that even after getting freedom from slavery of foriegners, the scope for sacrifiices for the nation has not ended. Dr Darakhshan said that such occasions need not be ceremonial only. ``We belong to a state where separatism, regionalism and communalism has taken the driver's seat and we have to shoulder much more responsibilities as patriots and nationalists and take inspiration from the sacrifices of these great heroes and defeat all divisive and anti-national forces. We have to live and practice the spirit of Shaheed Bhagat Singh so that we unitedly fight the challenges we are facing today, she added. Dr Andrabi was accompanied by SDP leaders Gursagar SIngh and Ajay Sharma.
