| NCB celebrates silver jubilee function | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , March 24
An awareness programme `Run Against Drug Abuse’ marked the silver jubilee function of Narcotic Control Bureau.
The programme commenced from the Janipur Police Station Chowk ( Muthi Morh Chowk) and culminated at BSF Stadium Ploura via Lower Roop Nagar on the road adjacent to Migrant Quarters, Drug Controller Office. The flag off ceremony was inaugurated by Raja Aijaz Ali, IG Crime, J&K Police by releasing colourful balloons at 08:00 Hrs. Other dignitaries who graced the flag ceremony were B.L Naik, Zonal Director NCB Jammu, BSF and CRPF officials and Dr. Ashwani Jojra, founder President SAHYOG INDIA,Mr Lalit Kumar State Cordinator Special Olympics Bahrat. This program was participated by NCB Jammu officials, BSF personnel, CRPF personnel, students from BSF School Jammu, students of Future Pack School, Gadigarh Jammu, Officials of NGO Sahyog India, Officials of NGO Peoples Forum of India and other locals
The participants were welcomed by the NCB Jammu team officials and BSF officials at BSF Ploura stadium. The participants, officials and other persons present at the stadium took a pledge to fight against the menace of drugs and to make the society free from this evil.
Dr. Jagat Singh, DIG (PSO), BSF Jammu was the chief guest at the culmination point who administered the oath to the participants to be the part of this movement to make it a mass movement. Zonal Director NCB Jammu B.L Naik on the closing ceremony said that addiction to narcotics and drugs is now recognised globally as endangering mankind. Naik also disclosed that Narcotics Control Bureau is organizing a mega seminar in Jammu very shortly involving all segments of society to aware every citizen regarding this evil engulfing the youth.
