| Lecture on topic, ‘Chemistry in our lives’ organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 25: In continuation with the ongoing celebrations of the International Year of Chemistry – 2011, a lecture on the topic “Chemistry in our lives” was organized by the Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu.
Many research scholars and post graduate students from the Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu and other institutions participated in the event, which was attended by large number of students and academicians from the University.
Prof. Sushil K. Pandey, Dr. Satya Paul and Dr. Devinder Singh Sambyal judged the event. The first prize was secured by Syed Sahil Ali, Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu, two second prizes were awarded to Archana Sharma, Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu and Swaraj Singh Ishar, P.G. Govt. Degree College, Rajouri. Three third prizes were awarded to Ruchi Khajuria, Ravinderpal Kour Sodhi andSuman Sharma from Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu. All the winners were awarded with certificates alongwith cash prizes by Prof. Meena Sharma, Head, Department of Chemistry, and University of Jammu.
