Bharti’s play ‘Suraj Katal Nahin Hote’ staged | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, MAR, 25: Nav Durga Kala Manch today staged a socially relevant Kumar A. Bharti ‘s play ‘Suraj Katal Nahin Hote’ during the ongoing drama festival at Abhinav theatre here today. The play focused on the issue of unemployment . The story revolved around some educated unemployed youth who were dreaming of white colour jobs despite suggestions of a seasoned tea stall owner that instead of hunting for higher posts and authority they should take up whatever employment comes their way. Initially though the youth resist suggestions, but as soon as they come across the story of a woman in question and that of a drunkard tea stall visitor, the youth realised the folly of having chased unrealistic dreams. After having learnt about the life experiences of the tea stall owner and those of the habitual drunkard, the youth stopped hunting for creamy posts and joined the tea stall which they earlier used to visit as part of their job hunting exercise. The socially relevant play saw some beautiful performances by actors like Komal Kalyan, Dilshad Shazi, Sandeep Mehra, Aman Verma, Aman Shah, Shashi Bhushan, and Shashipal Khajuria. The play has been directed by Shashi Bhushan.
