Police to withdraw cases on parents’ guarantee
Summer unrest-2010
3/25/2011 9:48:32 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Mar 25 The SP Handwara, Mohammad Aslam, Friday, said that police would consider to take back cases against those youths who were involved in last year’s summer unrest, ‘if there parents guarantee that they will not indulge in such activities again.’
During a Police-Public meet in Handwara, people urged the SP that cases against almost 100 students and employees registered during last year’s summer unrest may be withdrawn. The SP assured the people that cases against those people who aren’t involved in any heinous crime would be withdrawn. “But parents of such people have to guarantee that they will not indulge in such activities again,” he said.
