| Creation of posts for Agri-technocrats on anvil: Mir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 25: Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir today reiterated government's commitment to solve problem of agriculture technocrats, adding that a proposal for creation of posts in agriculture department in this regard is under process in Finance and Planning Departments.
Responding to the queries raised by some member in Legislative Assembly today regarding the issue of Agri-Technocrats, the Minister said on the directions of Chief Minister, a high level committee comprising Finance Minister, Agriculture Minister, Minister of State for Agriculture, Minister of State for Finance, Principal Secretary ,Agriculture and Commissioner Secretary Finance was constituted to prepare a comprehensive proposal for absorption of unemployed agriculture technocrats and the proposal in this regard has been submitted which after approval of the Finance and Planning departments would be sent to cabinet for approval.
Minister made it clear that the police would not allow any attempt of violence or law and order problem by the agitating agriculture technocrats and asked the CPI (M) legislator M. Y. Tarigami to be ambassador to government and inform the agitating agri-technocrats about the initiatives of the Government.
