| VREA holds demonstration | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, March 25: The Volunteer retirement employees association (VREA) today held a demonstration under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali and Surinder Singh in front of the M.D J&K SRTC office.
The protestors later in the shape of rally marched towards the office of Addl. Provident fund commissioner, Rail head complex and staged dharna.
Their main demand included release of provident fund interest amounting to Rs. 23,28,494.00 for which they were struggling for the last one year. They alleged that J&K SRTC management and Addl. Provident fund commissioner are hand in glove with each other and giving loss to the VRS employees .
They later warned that if their demand was not met upto March 29, then they will be left with no option other than to hold dharna in front of Addl. Provident fund commissioner’s office at Railhead Jammu.
Others present in the demonstration included Balwinder Singh, B.V Sharma, Prem Nath, Esan Elahi, Surjit Singh, Javed Iqbal
