| DTM Convent School holds prize distribution function | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 26: Dati Todi Memorial Convent High School (Ratnal), Bishnah organizes prize distribution function in school premises, where MLA Bishnah Aswhani Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
In her welcome address, principal of the school, Sunita Bangotra, highlighted the achievements of the school and threw light on the future programmes. She said that DTM Convent School has achieved excellence in short period of time and people of the area are now sending their wards to get quality education from this school. As a goodwill gesture, she admitted 7 girls belonging to poor, orphan and economically backward section in the school and will be provided free education. No admission fee is charged from students, she said and added that our school will provide quality education to the students besides encouraging the students in extra-curricular activities. Discipline will be maintained at all costs, she asserted. Free notebooks were distributed among school children.
MLA Ashwani Sharma, distributed the meritorious certificates and awards among the students and applauded the role of school in the Bishnah area. He further said that this school has achieved greater heights by securing above 90% marks in middle and high classes.
A colourful cultural programme was also organized by the Tiny Tots of School. Others who were present include Dev Raj Angral, president (AIABM), Capt. Mir Chand, vice-president (AIABM), Mangal Dass, Nanda Ram, Gian Chand Dogra, parents and staff of the school.
