MBBS common entrance test won’t be applicable to J&K: Sagar

JAMMU, Mar 26: Minister for Rural Development, Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that Common Entrance Test for MBBS won’t be applicable to the state, adding the Finance Minister has already clarified the issue yesterday in the House.
He was replying to a point raised by PDP legislator Dr Mohammad Shafi in the Assembly today. Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen demanded funds for construction of road projects under CRF in Budgam district.
Indu Pawar demanded repairs and up-gradation of tube-wells at Marh, Bishnah and othe areas for providing safe drinking water to the people. G. M. Saroori pleaded for adequate ration supply in Inderwal constituency.
Javed Mustafa Mir demanded construction of mosques at Secretariat premises of Jammu and Srinagar. Basharat Bukhari called for constitution of committee to look into the disparity in the functioning of B. Ed College in Kashmir and Jammu.
Ashok Khajuria called for organisation of Baisakhi Mela in Jammu as per past practice.
Radhe Sham called for deputing a team of experts to check wheat crop disease in Nowshera constituency. Sajad Ahmad Kichloo demanded up-gradation of Middle Schools of Kishtwar constituency. Harshdev Singh opposed the report of task force constituted to suggest development requirements for the division.
Peer Mansoor demanded copies of Panchayat Raj Act for all the members of the House. Khalil Band demanded making irrigation tube-wells functional in Pulwama district. Ashwani Sharma demanded fresh delimitation to empower all the regions. Mohammad Sharief Niaz advocated for regularization of education guarantee volunteers.
Mohammad Ashraf Ganai demanded completion of hospital building at Botingo-Sopore through PWD. Mir Saifullah demanded sufficient funds for development of far-off areas of the State. Nizam-ud-Din Bhat sought rehabilitation of those, whose land comes under Sindh Hydel Project.
Zulafkar Ali called for filling up the posts of Urdu teachers in Government schools of Jammu region. Chaman Lal Gupta demanded rationalization of the Government advertisements. Aijaz Jan demanded adequate funds for Poonch district for completion of all ongoing projects.
Charanjit Singh called for special funding to improve irrigation facilities in Kathua district. Krishan Chander demanded declaring Kabir Jayanti as holiday. Ashok Kumar Sharma demanded release of adequate funds for completion of development schemes in his constituency.
Nazir Ahmed Gurezi while hailing the Governments efforts of airlifting the stranded people of Gurez and Warwan demanded augmenting this service.
Chowdhery Mohammad Ramzan demanded vacation of court stay so that Integrated Housing and Slum Development Project (IHSDP) can be implemented smoothly. A. R. Veeri called for inclusion of Kashmir History in education syllabus. Rafiq Ahmed Khan demanded special funds for the development of hilly and far-off areas.
Zahoor Ahmed Mir pleaded for due compensation to the people of Awantipora, whose land was utilized to widen National Highway. Rafi Ahmed Mir demanded immediate steps to curb adulteration in milk. Jagdish Raj Sapolia demanded augmentation in drinking water supply in Basholi constituency.
Jugal Kishore demanded stand by arrangement for supply of drinking water to the Kandi areas of Nagrota. Abdul Majid Wani sought speeding up construction of roads under ERA in erstwhile Doda district. Balwant Singh Mankotia demanded construction of mini Secretariat in Udhampur.
Feroz Ahmed Khan demanded on-the-spot police recruitment in Kargil district. Yashpal Kundal demanded women Degree College for Samba district. Lal Chand demanded early construction of bridge over a river near Dudu in Bani constituency. Prof. Gharu Ram demanded effective implementation of integrated Housing and Slum Development Project in R. S. Pura town.
