3/26/2011 9:53:33 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 26: CPI (M) legislator Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami today sought tabling of report about encroachment of state land in the House, saying that newspapers are teemed with reports about encroachment of land across the State.
He said that as per the reports land grabbers in connivance with some officers and high ups in authority are allegedly grabbing state land, which he said is a serious issue worth probe. He demanded constitution of Commission of Inquiry to look into the allegations and bring out the truth.
“We can’t afford to lose precious state land as we struggle to find land for construction of schools, hospitals, roads, etc”, he said adding that government is struggling to find land for constructing development projects. In such a scenario, how state land could be allowed to be usurped, he rued.
