Arguments begin in Chopra murder case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 26: Arguments in the Chopra family murder case began today in the court of principal sessions judge A K Shan. On September 18, 2006, cement tycoon R B Chopra, his wife Madhu Chopra, daughter Saloni Chopra, servant Sonu and driver Jagan Nath were brutally murdered, at their Trikuta Nagar residence. The court fixed April 15, 2011, for further arguments in the case. According to the challan presented by special investigation team of police after more than 3 years of the commission of the crime, on September 18, 2006, an information was received from reliable sources by Trikuta Nagar police station at about 10.30 pm that some unidentified persons, after entering the house of Rajinder Bushan Chopra alias Raju Chopra in sector 3 of Trikuta Nagar, had murdered him, Madhu, Saloni, Sonu and Jagan. While their mouths were found gagged, their legs and hands were tied by the accused. The bodies were found lying on the floor in a pool of blood. After executing the murders, the accused had fled the spot in a white Alto car (0030/JK02AC) owned by Chopra. It was parked in the house.
