| 19 hurt in car bomb | | |
SRINAGAR, NOV 14
Militants today carried out a car bomb attack and hurled grenades on a CRPF camp here injuring at least 19 people including nine security personnel.
The powerful car bomb explosion near the camp in Karan Nagar in the heart of town damaged nearby buildings and injured several persons, officials said.
Before detonating the car bomb, the militants hurled a hand grenade at the security force camp and followed it up with a rifle grenade attack, they said.
They said 10 civilians, five police personnel and four CRPF jawans were among the injured.
Security officials said the grenade was probably used as by the militants to draw the CRPF men near the car laden with explosives. |
