Convention on save public sector organised | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU MAR 27: The Joint Forum of Public Sector Employees organized a day-long convention on “Save public sector save India” here today. The trade union leaders and activists from insurance, banking, Indian Railways, BSNL, NHPC, School Education and unorganised sectors participated. The leaders from various sectors deliberated about the challenges before the state and centre employees at length and stressed upon the need to be united to fight against the anti-people and anti-workers policies of the Governments. Addressing the convention, Comrade M. Y. Tarigami, State President, CITU and MLA emphasized the need of united struggle of the people against the ruinous policies of the UPA-led Government. The policies perused by the Government of India based on disastrous neo-liberalism are creating havoc with the lives of the working people. Appealing to the public sector unions to come closer, Com. Tarigami urged upon all the trade union centres of the state to evolve a common minimum programme for the future struggle for the betterment of the working people of the J & K. Besides who spoke in the convention are comrade Pawan Gupta, Daleep Koul, Sham Prasad Kesar, Om Prakash Sharma, Romesh chand Vijay Singh,Anil Vaid, M.K.Koul, Shashi Pal Singh, Raj Kumar.
