SDM scales Garh Samnabanj heights to invigorate public and officials

Garh Samnabanj (Dudu Basantgarh) Mar 27: The streak of touring and instant inspections of development works alongwith functioning of Government departments in far flung and high altitude corners of Dudu Basantgarh Sub Division continued this weekend when Sub Divisional Magistrate Amit Sharma scaled the heights of Garh Samnabanj and adjoining hilly terrains during last three days. As a part of this itinerary, a maiden Awareness Camp was also organized by CDPO Office Dudu Basantgarh in which Angadwadi Workers and Helpers were rendered valuable information regarding their role in respective areas. As always, this Camp was followed by a Public Durbar in which huge gamut of public from Garh, Samnabanj, Rajua, Chakka, Mugdal, Muriala, Mushkool, Noul, Kutliar, Babey, Droul and Kharara villages raised lots of issues pertaining to road connectivity, power connectivity, health facilities and organization of more Awareness camps to which SDM Amit Sharma addressed and ensured prompt action so that the vibrant pace of development continues in Dudu Basantgarh in the coming summer months. He also noted down major demands of the public of these high altitude belts which are yet not fully connected through road link with the headquarters based in Basantgarh.
SDM Amit Sharma specifically mentioned in his address that the Angadwadi Centres are the nervous system of the Sub Division through which life and blood is infused in the young buds and even the women folks. He further stressed upon the fact that this is one of the most challenging belts of the state where an extra-ordinary role is expected from Angadwadi Centres to act as knowledge centres so that women and children should learn as well as spread the multiple role as agents of change. Alongwith, SDM Amit Sharma ensured to mention the integrated role of basic revenue functionaries such as Numberdars and Chowkidars to work in total coordination with them so that these Centres run smoothly in all such hilly villages of Dudu Basantgarh and provide maximum benefit to public residing there. He also requested the public to send their wards to these Centres which have been opened or their convenience and building strong foundation of youngsters so that they can complete with their future competitors residing in urban areas. Others who addressed the workers in this Awareness Camp were CDPO Prem Prabha, Office Assistant Chuni Lal, Medical Assistant R.K Khajuria, Shukardin, Mohd Shafi, Shiv Nath, Sher Singh and Neelam Kumari.
Apart from this, SDM Amit Sharma visited the Office of Returning Officer Panchayat Halqa Garh Samnabanj and checked the level of arrangements for the elections to be held in third phase on April 21, 2011 there. Apart from this, he also visited the areas such as Babey, Noul, Lahed and Chor Panjian where AROs shall be operating so as to ensure smooth conduct of Panchayat elections there. Alongwith, he made an extensive inspection of Government Institutions such as health centres, schools, anganwadi centres and CAPD stores in these areas and directed concerned officials to maintain regularity and sufficient stock so that the public dos not suffer for want of basic services in these areas.
Finally, SDM Amit Sharma also told the public to gear up for the upcoming Panchayat Elections and exercise their voting rights judiciously so as to elect the right candidates as their Panches and Sarpanches who can work towards their causes more enthusiastically in future.
