| Doda police organizes cross country | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Doda, Mar 27: A cross country was organized by Doda Police on Paryote-Pul Doda By Pass road from Khelani to Janotta.
Mohd Arif Rishu SP Headquarters Doda flagged off the race from Khelani in presence of T.R Katoch ASP Bhaderwah, Mohan Lal ASP Operations Doda and others Police officers of District Doda. A total of about 500 youths especially from remote areas of Marmat and Gandoh areas participated in the cross country. The cross country started at 1000 hours. The Ist position was bagged by Sunil Kumar S/O Raj Kumar R/O Thuba, 2nd by Panchi Lal S/O Frangu Ram R/O Roat Marmat and 3rd by Vijay Kumar S/O Mulkh Raj R/O Drown Kerani who were awarded cash prize of Rs. 5000/-, Rs.3000/- and Rs. 2000/- respectively. The first 50 runners were given commendation certificates at District Police Headquarters Doda. The Cross country was organized as a part of Civic action programme started by Jammu and Kashmir Police to bridge the gap between Police and Public and to bring the masses closer to Police department.
