2 pilgrims killed, 9 hurt in road mishaps | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 27 : Two women Vaishnodevi pilgrims were killed and nine others wounded in separate road accidents here since last night.A speeding car hit the road divider at Palli Morh near Samba last night, resulting in the death of Suman and Kalah Devi and injuries to seven others, including three children. The car was on its way from Delhi to Katra, the base camp of the holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi in Trikuta hills, police sources said.While Suman had died yesterday, Kalah succumbed to her injuries in the GMC hospital today, the sources added. The injured were hospitalised and their condition was stated to be out of danger. Meanwhile, an Innova hit a scooty near Satwari airport today, resulting in injuries to Hari Ram of Bikram Chowk and Teeka Ram of Trikuta Nagar.Both of them were admitted to the GMC hospital. Cases in this connection were registered at the concerned police stations. |
