Tarigami hands over memorandum of Agri technocrats to Speaker

JAMMU, Mar 28: Several legislators highlighted issues of public importance during zero hour in legislative assembly demanding urgent attention of the government.
CPI (M) legislator M.Y.Tarigami today presented memorandum to the speaker in the House, given to him and MLA Ashwani Kumar by unemployed agriculture technocrats, who have called off their stir following their persuasion. Tarigami requested the speaker to direct the government to do justice with the genuine demands of the technocrats.
He said that their rights should be heard and safeguarded properly as expected and requested by them. Ashok Kumar Khajuria demanded exemption of taxes to cinemas for displaying Indo- Pak semi final cricket match. Zulfkar Ali demanded protection of life and property of Gujjar and Bakerwal families in Hiranagar.
Durga Das, who represents Hirangar constituency assured to ensure communal harmony and brotherhood in his assembly segment. Khalil Band demanded repairs and upgradation of defunct irrigation pumps in Pulwama district. Viqar Rasool demanded immediate restoration of roads in Banihal constituency damaged due to heavy rains.
Mohammad Sharief Niaz demanded immediate restoration of ration supply in Bhaderwah. Dr Mustafa Kamal said that fishermen of his constituency should not be restricted from fishing in Dal. Ghulam Mohammed Saroori demanded relief to left out migrants of Doda district.
Ashwani Kumar demanded 3 percent reservation for people living along international border. Prof Gharu Ram demanded Model village in R S Pura constituency. Rafi Ahmad Mir demanded posting of doctors and paramedics as per staff strength in SDH Seer.
Lal Chand demanded uniform rates on the construction of structures for railways and R& B. Abdul Razak Zawoora demanded Degree College and more Higher Secondary Schools in Shopian. Abdul Haq Khan demanded restoration of closed local news and cable channels in Kashmir.
Peerzada Mansoor demanded strengthening of State Forest Corporation to streamline its functioning. Nizam-ud-Din demanded uniform policy for engagement of casual labourers. Indu Pawar sought reduction in the pollution level of brick kilns and stone crushers. Mir Saifullah demanded proper fencing of wild life areas to ward off man-animal conflicts.
Ashok Kumar Sharma demanded shifting of wine shops from his constituency. Sajad Ahmad Kichloo demanded clearance of snow from snow bound roads of Kishtwar.
Nazir Ahmad Gurezi demanded compensation and rehabilitation of Sindh hydro electric project affected people.
Jagdish Raj Sapolia demanded adequate power supply in Basholi. Balwant Singh Mankotia demanded augmentation of staff in fair price shops. Syed Basharat Bukhari demanded adequate supply of fertilizers for the farmers of the valley in view of Rabi season. Rafiq Hussain Khan demanded strict implementation of Panchayat Act.
Syed Bashir demanded better road connectivity in Rajpura. Zahoor Ahmad Mir demanded heavy tax on the import of saffron from Iran to save Kashmir produced saffron. Baldev Raj demanded tax exemption to labourers in katra. Yashpal Kundal demanded early construction of sanctioned road projects for Samba.
Jugal Kishore demanded upgradation of High Schools to Higher Secondary Schools in Nagrota. Krishan Chander demanded SRTC bus service in Chenani. Ghulam Ahmad Mir demanded realignment of the proposed tunnel through Pir Panchal as it is apprehended that the proposed alignment will affect water source to famous Verinag spring.
Pir Afaq demanded exemption of VAT on wooden products. Mohammad Ashraf Ganie demanded upgradation of first aid centre at Dangerpora in Sopore. Mushtaq Ahmad Shah demanded increase in atta scale for kandi areas of Tral. Charanjeet Singh demanded compensation to hail storm affected of Kathua. Engineer Rashid also highlighted the issues concerning his constituency.
