| CGPWA mourned sudden demise of Sr Teja Singh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 28: All the Members of Central Government Pensioners’ Welfare Association(CGPWA), Jammu & Kashmir, Jammu; expressed shock over the demise of our respected member Sr Teja Singh, IAS; former Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman Public Service Commission J&K on March 20 at Medanta Medicity Hospital Gurgaon.
He had been ailing for the past few months. Born in the year 1924, he had a distinguished career in the civil services in J&K Government during 1948 to 1982 and thereafter held the high position of Chairman PSC till 1987.
In recognition of his caliber and integrity, he was appointed as Member Convener J&K State Autonomy Committee by the then Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah in 1996. In the year 2000, he was elevated to the position of Chairman State Autonomy Committee.
A Condolence Meeting to was convened today by the Association Members, in the memory of S.Teja Singh to pay homage to the departed noble soul, collectively.
