| DDCs appointed as brick kiln licensing authorities | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 28 - The Jammu and Kashmir Government, in exercise of the powers coffered by section 5 of the J&K Brick Kiln Act (2010), has appointed Deputy Commissioners as licensing authority within their respective areas of jurisdiction, while the Divisional Commissioners will have the Appellate Authorities within their respective divisions.
Meanwhile, as per another notification, in consonance with the powers conferred on it under the section 19 of the JK Brick Kiln Act, the government has extended the powers exercisable by it under the section 13 of the act shall be exercised by the Deputy Commissioners concerned within their territorial jurisdictions.
