Media to play vital role by communicating progress of the govt to people: DyM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 28 – While delivering key note address in a jam packed auditorium of JK College of Education, the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand emphasized that both media and civil society have to play pivotal role in leading the state towards path of peace and progress. He said present coalition is endeavoring hard to strengthen the developmental scenario in the state and it is the responsibility of civil society to fully cooperate with all the initiatives of development. Tara Chand was addressing the gathering at the Inter College Dance competition, here today. Eight different B. Ed colleges participated in the competition and JK College won the first prize, while KC College stood second and KCS College was adjudged third. While appreciating role of media in the state, Mr. Tara Chand said that the fourth estate is positive in its approach. He said after judiciary, executive and legislature, media has to play a vital role by communicating all the progress of the government to the people. The Deputy Chief Minister also complimented establishment of the JK College of Education particularly, Chairman Mr. Raj Daluja for organizing one of the marvelous competition of different colleges, which helps to project talent of our budding college students. Highlighting the achievements of present coalition government in the field of education, Tara Chand said with the active support of Central government two Central Universities have been established in the state besides opening up of a number of technical and vocational training institutes. He said government is committed to train young force of the state for avenues beyond government jobs and a number of land mark initiatives like SKWEPY have been taken so as to help them in starting their own ventures.
