Terror modules get teeth as peace moves continue | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Mar 28:-Whether the cricket diplomacy, launched by both India and Pakistan, will reduce the existing trust deficit between the two neighboring countries, handlers of militants across the LOC have become quite active in regrouping rebels operating in Jammu and Kashmir.Government sources have indicated that despite peace moves agencies in Pakistan and occupied Kashmir have not yet suspended their plan of pushing into Jammu and Kashmir large groups of militants trained in camps in recent weeks. As part of the plan on giving teeth to the ongoing Jehad, which during the last nine months had been a low key affair, by sending groups of militants into Jammu and Kashmir with sophisticated weapons and high grade explosives.Militant modules, operating in Jammu and Kashmir have, sources said, conveyed to their handlers across the LOC that their man and machine power had become too weak and small to carry out any spectacular strike. Hence these modules have been seeking additional manpower by way of pushing into the state more groups of militants equipped with sophisticated weapons. Sources said that groups of militants have been brought on the launching pads across Poonch, Rajouri, Kupwara, Keran, Machel and Tangdhar sector besides across the International Border. The handlers are waiting for a proper time for pushing these militants in small groups.Reports said that the troops guarding the entire LOC and the IB have been directed to intensify their round the clock patrolling and open fire whenever any movement of militants was spotted on the border. Reports said agencies including extremists in Pakistan and Afghanistan were not in favour of New Delhi and Islamabad's attempt at reducing the trust deficit which could bridge the gap between the two sides.
